6 times table
One table, one page: 6 × 1 to 6 × 10 big enough for the fridge, the multiples of 6 lit up on a hundred chart, and a practice page with the answers taken away.
How to use it
Page one goes on the fridge, page two goes into a punched pocket with a dry-wipe pen. Read the poster together a few times first: the coloured band and the lit squares on the chart give the same ten answers twice, so a child sees the 6s as a path through the hundred as well as a list. Then hand over page two — the same ten facts in a scrambled order, with the multiples missing from the chart and from the counting row.
6 times an even number ends in that number: 6 × 2 = 12, 6 × 4 = 24, 6 × 6 = 36, 6 × 8 = 48. For the rest, 6 is the 5 plus one more: 6 × 7 is 35 and 7. The two tricks together cover the whole row.
