Adding with animals
Two groups, a plus, a box. The groups stay in separate panels because that is the thing being learned: two collections become one number.
How to use it
Let them count all of it at first — one, two, three, four, five — even though it is slower. Counting on from the first group ("four… five, six") is the next stage and it arrives on its own, usually once the first group gets too big to bother recounting. Pushing it early tends to produce a child who counts on out loud and gets it wrong.

- Print at 100%, not "fit to page" — scaling shrinks the digits and the whole point is that your child writes them at a steady size.
- Black-and-white and draft mode are fine. Nothing on these sheets depends on colour.
- Slide a sheet into a punched pocket and a dry-wipe pen turns one page into a hundred goes.
